Last night I drove 2 hours for an interview with a modeling agency in the bay. The interview literally took 2 minutes; they measured me and sent me on my way. A mere three hours later I received an email saying they wanted to sign me.

I don't think I am as excited as I should be. I plan on reading all the materials they sent me 6 times before I decide to sign on, but something is tugging at me. I love modeling, but how much. I truly began to question my passion last night when I didn't scream at the positive email. I have always been torn between my artistic talents, acting and modeling, and my academic talents. I am a zoology major in college and I do not know how long (if at all) I want to deter my education for modeling and acting.

I recently got back from a trip to Africa doing animal research. I left at the time I did because I needed a break from life. I was so incredible stressed and hurt from the entire 2008 year that I completely lost myself and needed to get better. Africa helped, but I still do not know which path I want to take. Eventually I want to get a college degree in zoology, travel and work with animals, but what do I want to do until then? I can struggle along my modeling and acting path for awhile and then go back to college or go straight through for my degree.

I feel that school will always be waiting for me; I will always have my mind. maybe I am afraid of failure. I know I will succeed in college; I know I will get my degree. With modeling and acting though, it is so uncertain. I realize I will never know unless I try, but I do not want to waste my time. I'm also afraid to leave my job, which I will have to do eventually to truly be successful in the artistic fields.

I want to do everything and succeed; I do not want to disappoint.

Reality hits a bit hard sometimes.
